International Summer University - Audiovisual Communication Climate, Renewable Energies & Energy Efficiency
At the International University, film makers, film directors, journalists, web-editors,
public relation experts, communication, social and natural scientists, members of
civil society, economy and state’s administration from Latin America as well as
Europe get the opportunity to develop audiovisual shaping competencies for the
professional communication of issues of sustainable development.
During the turns of E-Learning and in-country phases, communication strategies
for the improvement of acceptance and the application of sustainable energies and
lifestyles are tested.
Based on informed discussions they learn to formulate messages and translate
them audiovisually: into spots, radio plays, short films, communication campaigns
and other discursive formats - from a conceptual design to the product.
We work with innovative methods and tools of modern, participative
communication, moreover we are interdisciplinary and intercultural. The scientific
design assignments are assisted via internet tutorial.
The in-country phase will be lead by international tandems of lecturers (scientists /
media designers) who run the studies which apply different types of learning from
Bauhaus educational theory and who follow the personal type of imparting
knowledge as well as the passing on of a “communication-handwriting”. The
objective is also the testing of the cultural scope of symbols, values and images
will also be tested; compatibility bridges between different cultural ways of
communication will be built.
REQUIREMENTS The applicants should have a completed formation (Bachelor,
Liz., Master) in one of the above mentioned disciplines as well as provable
professional experiences in communication or social sciences. Besides the
required competencies, applicants should bring an „honest subjectivity“, empathy,
passion and commitment to environmental protection and to multimedia based
working.
